| I'm here again! Start of Week7 and I'm so nervous for school. This week is just Part I of hell week! D: Ohwells, At least I'm done with 1 midterm, 2 more to go after recess week!
Anyway fatty came back after so long for a one week break. Damn long since I last saw him. It's been like... more than a year definitely. Hahaha it is nice to see that he is living well with his girlfriend! <3 Can't wait to visit them and see her for myself! :D
Gotta prep for school soon. Today is a short day, but tomorrow is going to be LONG ): I can do it!! GOGOGOGOGOGO! - Mood:pessimistic

| Just stumbled on my cousin's blog and I am now inspired to write just one post, even if it may be a really short one. I'm not to blame for not posting anything recently. I've tried to write some stuff here and there but the piece is just so badly written and I can't bear to post it. Childish, bad language.. Just some of my excuses for not posting! :P
The first thing that comes to my mind? Holiday. I miss my holidays so much. Korea is like 2nd home to me, even though I may not have friends there. The thing is, everyone is like a friend to me over there! They are all so polite, even my parents love the culture there. One thing which my parents do not like is the fact that the weather there was freezing cold, practically subzero on most days. I'll post the pictures another time (once again, I do hope so!!)
At least we went to Jeju Island this time round. For the previous 2 times, whenever people asked me about Korea, they all remarked something along the lines of this, "You have not been to Korea if you haven't been to Jeju." Okay then, I've finally been to Korea this time around. Daddy drove as we rented a car, and it was quite a challenge since it was a left-hand drive car, and we drove in the night with the past days' snow on the sides of the road. Fortunately the weather was great, and there was also the added bonus of free entrance to several sightseeing spots in Jeju as they are part of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. In my opinion, Jeju is pretty, but I prefer the mainland as it suits my character better? I don't really know how to put it across, but I prefer the city.
The long vacation also meant that I celebrated my birthday in China! Haha. It was actually a stopover but my parents decided to extend the stopover at Shanghai. My 20th birthday celebrating with the Chinese, and the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" chocolate on my cake was in Chinese. Interesting huh! I miss the Bubble Tea at the alley, as well as the dumplings China is famous for! Coincidentally, the Chinese had a 3-day holiday over the New Year weekend, which meant crowded shopping centres and sightseeing places as Shanghai braced itself for the Chinese tourists from the other cities. Not the shopping experience I would have expected, but the noise level and the Chinese way of conducting themselves in front of others will take time for me to get used to it.
Our flight back to Singapore on the 4th was delayed by 6hours and it was so exciting in my opinion, I guess I was the only one smiling and enjoying our way to the transit hotel while the others were complaining and worried. No matter how many birthdays I have celebrated, I am still very much like a child, not wanting my holidays to be over. Even if it means stuck in a foreign country, as long as I have the right company and it is safe over there.
School started the following week right after I came back. To be honest, I did not look forward to this semester's classes as much as I did last semester (though I am not particularly excited for school) because my timetable was not to my liking, and I miss having classes with my close friends. I do have some close friends taking modules with me, but it just feels different. This semester seems really demanding with my accounting and law module which I am having difficulties coping with, while there is also the etiquette class and communications class, not forgetting the most dreadful night class which I barely know anyone in there!! It is now Week 6 and I shall be having my midterm assessment for the law module in 3 days time.
Don't know why, but I am particularly distracted this semester. With internship applications, assignments, tests, projects and all piling up, I still have the time to think of other useless stuff. I find people childish at times, but I secretly think that I'm the childish one. Part of me just wants to play, and it is hard to put that to an end. I am still a kid after all, though I am already a step closer to entering the cold and cruel working world. I guess I have much more to learn, and you can be sure I am willing to, given the time. - Mood:grateful

| School has started!! Haha. Seems as if I only come to post after so long. I have no idea why too. It is like a place to pen, or rather type, out my thoughts and make my voice known lol. Summer has come and gone. The good thing is, I think I've rested sufficiently. However, when people come up to ask me what I did for summer, I feel kind of ashamed to say I did nothing! Their summer seemed so exciting and packed, but mine was just plain. Guess it is my character, lazing around being all quiet and peaceful :) If I'm not wrong, the last post was really angsty about GE. Hmm I won't say I'm entirely pro-PAP, but I know I am not for the opposition definitely. They just don't make sense to me. And perhaps it is my personality as well, to be comfortable with the present. The PE was just last Saturday, and I am glad that Dr Tony Tan won. I did not particularly favour any candidate, but I did not want Mr Tan Jee Say to win. Sorry but I think Mr Tan should not have ran in this election. PE in my opinion, should be something that is free from political nature, but it seems as if Mr Tan's participation has caused many to treat the PE like a second round of GE. I'm not implying that Singaporean voters are immature, but I think we should draw a line between these two elections. If Mr Tan Jee Say was sincere in running the PE this time round, I expect him not to rejoin any political party (since presidental candidates should be free from political influence) for the next GE. If he does, I seriously doubt his sincerity to serve Singaporeans. It will seem to me as if he is treating our government and the people as a tool for him to gain recognition and attention. Dr Tan Cheng Bock was a good opponent for Dr Tony Tan, and it was good and healthy competition. I hope that he stays around and continue to serve the people, connect with the people. Mr Tan Kin Lian, of course, was also a good candidate and I actually did feel that it was a pity for him to lose the $48,000. High Five Mr Tan! Do not lose hope!! In any case, even though people say the two elections have caused a divide amongst Singaporeans, I think it actually made us more bonded. We care for our nation more than ever, but I do hope that more voters should look at what the candidates are offering as time passes instead of just thinking about opposing our Government. If you think I'm pro-government 'cause I'm from a high income family, I am not. Nevertheless, regardless of whether you are pro or against our Government, we are all Singaporeans and this is all politics. Politics aside, we should be united as one! C: Well, the above is just a small reflection of mine regarding the elections, from a non-voter's point of view. School is more important right now, as compared to everything else. I think I'm courting my own death, doing 5 mods this semester. No choice though, since I am lagging behind others. I must really work hard, and improve my GPA. At the end of the 4 years, GPA is still important. Besides that, my friends are also important. I'm so glad I've made more friends in school. School isn't as cold and the people aren't as superficial as others made it to be. This time round, I'm a sophomore and if time flies well and fast enough, I'll graduate soon. But then again I don't wish to work... Anyway that is the future and we'll just face it when it comes. As for Winter Holiday this year, I don't think I'll be heading anywhere since we're going to save up for a ski trip! No Korea this year, no Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, HongKong, Japan. Perhaps Malaysia I guess... Talking about Winter Holiday reminds me of last year's trip. Have I posted about it? Hmm... Anyway to end off, here are 2 videos I just came across. From the recent Presidential Elections. Credit to those who uploaded it. | |

| It is finally summer. Yes, the summer I have been waiting for so long, the one I've been looking forward to since Week 1 of Semester 2. Now that it is here, I am actually rather disappointed. Everyone around me are busy with their own stuff and have no time for me! That is rather saddening. Ohwells. At least I am FREE.
Other people tell me to go overseas (like they are going to) but my parents disagree. I want to work, but that my schedule is kind of in a wreck, since I have to come back to school for at least one day weekly. I have sent out resumes, but none replied. I guess it is the time where interns are joining their company, so they don't need people like me. Perhaps I am being too picky, since I do not want to work in the service line (e.g. waitressing, retailing etc.) and my parents think that if I work, I should be doing something that adds value. Friends are starting work, and have no time for me. All in all, I am a sad girl with no friends.
Enough on me ranting about summer. Moving on to something that is happening in my country (that's Singapore) which everyone is talking about - The upcoming General Elections. Since I am not 21 yet, I am not eligible to vote. Even so, I have my own opinion and voice which I would love to voice out. According to the papers, this is one of the most challenged elections to date. 82 out of 87 seats contested, only MM Lee's ward enjoying a walkover. This is also the 2nd time which the PAP is not returned to government after nomination day. All wards are facing a straight fight (PAP vs an opposition) except for one which there is a 3-cornered fight.
I have been paying loads of attention to the election happening this Saturday, maybe it is because I have time to spend. I am not sure if the PAP is the right party to vote for, but I am definitely sure that having the opposition in Parliament will not do Singapore any good. And like what the MM had said, if we were to vote for the opposition we would have 5 years to repent. Other than the foreign worker and education issues, I don't think the PAP had failed. On the other hand, the opposition parties have only a few names within the bunch who are worthy of our attention. This will include NSP's Nicole Seah, WP's Sylvia Lim and Low Thia Khiang, SPP's Chiam See Tong and a few more. Other than that, I don't think that they are qualified to join the Parliament. In fact, those opposition named above are not necessarily fit for Parliament.
My personal take on the Worker's Party? There are only 2 main people running this election - Ms Sylvia Lim and Mr Low Thia Khiang. In addition, the focus on them putting an "A" team at Aljunied is overwhelming. I don't even think this could be considered as an 'A Team' since 4 out of the 5 running for the Aljunied ward did not contest in this ward in the last election. Moving on to the SPP, Mr Chiam has made the foolish mistake of moving himself into a GRC. Similar to WP, they are taking a great risk by putting all their eggs into the same basket. The SDP has candidates with a good portfolio in terms of education, but then I think they are just... weird?
I think the PAP has worked the GRC to their advantage, since they have the Ministers in them. We cannot afford to lose these ministers, since they have proved themselves worthy of their positions. I have to admit that I do think perhaps it is one of the ways which PAP uses to keep their party in the Parliament. Then again, if we were to look back, Singapore has indeed flourished under the governance of the PAP, and they have yet to disappoint us.
Yesterday, PM Lee had apologized for their mistakes. I think it takes a true leader to admit his mistakes, and I admire him for doing so, especially at such a crucial point in time (3 days before election) where other parties are all about curry-favouring the voters. The mistakes, though true, were not very serious in my opinion.
Anyways... I think the voters should really be mature enough to decide who they want to vote for. Apparently I have people who are voting for the opposition, but then the reason they stated was because they didn't like the PAP. In fact, they also believe that the opposition may not do good for Singapore, but they just want to give PAP a lesson to learn. So in my opinion, though I am not an eligible voter, I urge people to use their vote wisely!
I have plenty of opinions regarding what the opposition parties have proposed, but I shall not go on and on since the topic on politics is rather dry. Goodbye people. For now. | |

| Some random updates.
2011. New year. I turned 19! Survived first sem of university and now I'm onto another. Wow.
Holiday in December. Back to Shanghai and Korea. This time I went Yongpyong and Busan. As usual, star sightings! Saw Shin Bongsun and Moon Heejun at Insadong. U-Kiss at M-Wave concert at Yongpyong. Holidays are just too short. Don't worry. This is NOT all. I'm going to write a long post when I have the time. After all, it may indirectly help me for AW (or at least I'm hoping it does!).
I'm going for SS3 on the 30th now, so that we can have a reunion dinner on the 29th. I'm really praying for an efficient semester with some breathing space of my own this time round. Please please please.
First day of school today, when most people start tomorrow or even next week!! Wow Monday classes which last the whole day is really draining. Tomorrow is my first ever night class. For a content heavy module some more. Hope I don't grow hungry or feel like sleeping in the middle of class....

| W.O.W super long since I last checked in. Everything's fine, no worries. I'm really glad I got through the first semester of university. It is just a whole different experience in a matter of 3/4+ months. Never expected it to be THAT tough. Ohwells. Winter break has started and I'm relieved. Heading overseas in a matter of a week! Eggcited! Hahah. Even though they are same 2 places I'm going to visit as last year, I'm still excited. Think this time round we're more well-prepared. Everyday is going to be a rush, considering out of the 2 weeks I'm going to be in Korea, I'll be out of Seoul most. Ski Resort and Busan!!
The whole situation among North and South Korea is worrying, I admit. Daddy has been frowning over this, and had nearly wanted to cancel the trip. Really hope nothing happens while we're there. Personally I think US is aggravating things further with the military exercise and all. Furthermore sources had mentioned that the North might fire again before the year ends. Please don't! I've waited so long to go to Seoul again and I really hope it does not happen!
Praying for a peaceful holiday, and if I may be a little more greedier, I wish for a white xmas too. Hahah. I'm just going around with my preparations, planning your trip and all as if nothing happens. If it does, I may just break down. Zzzz.... PUH-LEASE. - Mood:worried

| Okay I'm gonna have a short one here today! The reason? I'm uploading pictures on FB and apparently, despite downloading the JAVA thingy I still can't use the better uploader. Omgg seriously pissed off. So the pictures are taking eons to upload. Thanks alot, FB. Twitter is even worse. It has gone over capacity. I'm a #whalehater now. Hahas. (I just checked back on FB and I'm 3/4 done. After sooo long...) Anyways, today was my first free day! After 6 long months. I'm a good victorian because I went back on my very first day of freedom! Kekeke~ Really miss those days. I can't emphasise on this point as much as I want to. Hahas. With Sherlyn, YuSin and SherLi. Wanted to eat the noodles stall but it was closed T.T so i had the food from the one with the carrot cake! (: YUMYUM. So much food for $1.40. Can't even finish!!! Oh and I was sitting in the canteen with SherLi when the J1s came out after their last paper, chem I think. Haha everyone was like cursing the paper! I used to be like this too! Omgg. But it is their last paper, so I guess most people ranted then went off to celebrate huh! Oh we wanted to go visit dr goh, and so we got SherLi to call him! Lol. So funny. He thought it was some current J1 who called him to ask about physics results! Then he said "ALL PASS" haha so funny kk. But he was out for lunch so we thought we wouldn't meet him. Then we went to call Ms Tee! And she didn't pick up. So in the end we didn't see her either. Just as we were about to leave, we saw Dr Goh! Hahahas. He looked as if he never changed! Haha standard outfit etc so funny! ((: The yearbook is so heavy I tell you. And the white cover isn't exactly my favourite. Hmm no choice! And my big face was together with the skinny faces of SherLi and XinRui on the farewell assembly page. Omg super embarrassing! :/ My big face was totally enhanced in the picture! And the pissed thing? Our class picture was the treehouse one! :/ Where almost the girls faces couldn't be seen. So stupid. Okay I've got some briefing at school tomorrow at 10am. So I'd better go sleep or I'll sleep tmw! GAH. Sherlyn & I :) Me, Sherlyn, SherLi, YuSin (: Yay I love my freedom! (: - Mood:bouncy

| It is really awesome how time flies. Today is really the last day of the first half of 2010, which marks the end of my internship over here at KPMG. Lol I've really wished today would have come faster, but then it also means that these 6 months are gone. And university is going to start soon! ): Time here at KPMG has been really great. Though there is the boring ritual of staring at the laptop for 9 hours continuously (which I didn't like in the first place), I've kinda fitted into all these stuff. It is really a nice company you know, not blocking any websites, and so I do surf widely. And these 6 months I've created my twitter account! For almost 3 months? And now I've got half a thousand tweets! Imagine how dry my work is. Nevertheless work does have its perks. Gotta know new things etc. New people and all. I've learnt many things I never knew before. It is really awesome you know, that we can do things that the grads do, even if we don't have a cert YET. Hahas. Personally I think I'm really fortunate to get good seniors who are all so caring and friendly. Hahas. Will definitely miss parts of these 6 months over here! :D Ohhohh actually certain times I do get a feeling of deja-vu! Cool huh! I'll miss the IRAS music! Then the voice messae "Good morning, welcome to the Income Tax hotline, for balh blah blah press 1 etc" hahah. Will certainly miss the people (how many times have I said it!). It is like school is coming to an end, and school was only 6 short months. This is worse than JC. Aww man the babes! And a hunk. Lol. Plus the seniors! All so funny in their own SPECIAL way. Ohohoh DADDY's birthday is actually today, but then because it is our last day too, so I'm going out with my friends/colleagues! Have celebrated for him yesterday already. We'll cut his birthday cake tonight when I get back. (: I've seriously overspent this month. I'm like suffering from a deficit! From seniors presents, to birthday presents, plus the usual impulse buying... Argh. I spent 100+ on cookies from cookie factory! And the royce and other stuff. Ohno Shanae what is seriously wrong with you!?! I'm so totally tired today. Had interrrupted sleep thanks to the World Cup. Watch jap match ytd night and went to sleep for awhile, then woke up for the Spain VS Portugal match. I still think Ronaldo is over-rated. David Villa is awesome and Torres is underperforming. D: It's fine, Spain got into the quarters. Sad thing is that all Asian countries are out. Nevertheless, 태극전사 화이팅! Okay I need to start clearance soon! But here's some eye-candy (of mine!) that was stored in my lappie! Gotta upload before it gets formatted and deleted! this is my soon-to-be ex-wallpaper! will miss my anchovy so much! D: and dont you think he is just so awesome! love him ttm! (sidenote: go see his love song performance on MB's md yr special) aww so nice brotherly love! aww man suju is on par with 2pm for first place! hahahs. 2pm! okay i'm seriously not in the right mind to blog now. GOODBYE! - Mood:lethargic

| Lazing at work now (what's new, seriously!). It has been three days since I returned from my seriously short vacation. It really didn't seem like one to me, and it wasn't particularly fufilling since I didn't get to buy much stuff. 4 tees, 2 sweaters. Lols the tees are still fine, 'cause I can use them for uni, but sweaters? Why in the world will I need 2 more sweaters in addition to my oh-so-many at home? Hmm... I don't know what I was thinking I guess. The 50% discount seemed like a really good deal!
We set off at around 5am on Friday morning. Dad drove! :D Did I mention how much I love road trips? In the car, and then we have all the time to ourselves, nobody to rush us etc. The best feeling. The weather was fine, not so bright sun and no rain! Reached kl around 10? We made some stops on the way. Then we checked in and had bfast! Zomg macs over there is really cheap. We drove past a advertisement board on the highway and their lunch deal was RM5.95, which is around S$3? When sg sells it at 4.90. Omg seriously. After bfast we went out (because it was still to early to check-in) and we went to One Utama, a huge shopping centre outside the city? Omg seriously. The place is so big, plus I didn't have enough sleep, so I went there, got into Starbucks, bought a drink and just slept there. For an hour? Then we shopped. Walked around and around. There was also a cheer championship competition going on! I think it was still the rehearsals. And guess what I saw? An all-boys cheer team! Omg gay ttm! -.- Lol not exactly the cheerteam I was looking forward to, but they were good, the throwers, flyers etc. Not bad! I would say better than the mixed teams!
2nd day was to visit sunway! (: Wanted to play at the amusement park, but I was still so tired, so we gave that thought away. The ice rink there was super tiny (no offence), as compared to lotte's. The place is just... crowded? Plus the indoor weather was not very cold, so the ice had to be resurfaced so frequently. And you see puddles of water. Lols. Waste of money in my opinion. Had pizza hut there. The price was exactly the same as in sg, except it was in RM! Hahas. That is why SOL in Msia is lower I guess. No offence, just saying (: Love the place!
3rd day was to go home. We were planning to leave in the late afternoon, so by right we had loads of time to shop. Went to pavillion and klcc. Shopped around. Then we went pass this theatre. Movie tix are cheap there I say (watched Shrek 3D for less than SGD10 on the first night) and so we had a sudden urge to watch Prince of Persia. And so we did! Lols. The movie timing was in the middle of everything and so we didn't shop much either. Lol but it was still fun coz the last movie was super impromtu. Cute huh. That is why I love mom and dad! <3
I just realised, while bloggin about my Msia trip, I forgot my Korea trip last yr! Lol. Okay I have the time now, so why not? I'll just roughly blog the main events kay? Or else the 2+ week trip will be uber long post.
First three days in Shanghai! The temp was around 4 degrees? Cold, but still tolerable. And fun too, since Sg has never experienced this temp! (: Naturally. We took the Maglev to one of the subway stations, and then transferred to People's Square? Then we dragged our heavy luggage etc all the way to the apartment, Citadines! Lovely place I say, and there was a ood view since we got a high floor. The apartment was relatively huge and the amenities were great. Will definitely sat there if I head to SH again! (: Then we rested before heading out to the shopping sreet (Nanjing Road) and over there, I remembered, our very first authentic xiao long bao! Yum Yum. And then they had loads of big stores, oh and their macs had choco pie! Cute huh! We walked and walked! Loitered into the small alleys (okay a lil creepy) and the people were shooting glances etc. Omg. We went into this store selling nice chinese clothes and then I bought leggings for RMB10! Cheap deals! Oh the place also has nice bakeries. The next day we went around the city again. And then to the Yuyuan Gardens. A very nice mix of old China with Western feeling! (: THE XIAOLONGBAO is the best i tell you! It is in the middle of the place! You won't miss it coz the queue is long! And plus it was raining and cold, so the hot steaming baos were heavenly~ Wanted to take the river cruise at night, but then the are was under renovation in preparation for world expo (then) and so we didn't. In my opinion, Shanghai is a nice place. Changed my opinion about visitng China. I won't ming heading there again! (:
The third day was the flight to Seoul. So we took a cab down to the airport. The taxi driver looked cunning, haha but he turned out to be nice. Told us places we should have visited. And then coz the trip was long, he talked alot. It seemed as if I only saw a small part of Shanghai, so I kinda regretted asking dad to stay as short as possible during our transit in Shanghai. *sobs* Anyway the flight to Korea seemed long, coz I couldn't wait to get there! When we got there, I remembered seeing a normal view from the plane, with sunlight shinning. So I thought, how cold can it be? The temperature, when we got off, was -2 according the the air stewardess. Aww I was super excited and so was J! It was winter then and we were hoping to see snow, but the temp was also great! Lol and my first step out to -2 was amazing! Refreshing! :D We were handed freebies and all when we approached the visitor centre there to take some brochures. Those people are really nice. We took a bus down to the hotel/hostel we were staying. I remembered the check-in process to be very draggy, But then since I understood korean I helped to be the translator to my parents, but getting our msg across was hard coz I couldn't speak well then. Anyway we got our room in the end and we unpacked. Thinking it was only for dinner, we headed to coex. I think it was still early, then it was so coincidental dearest 2PM had promos for paris baguette (love their walnut cheese bread!) and were there for fan signing. Stupid me didn't bring cam or whatever. They were close to me. Stupid. Ahhh. Wooyoung and Taec are the best! :D
If my memory didn't fail me, we went to lotte on one of the first few days and they were having a concert at the ice rink! And G-dragon and all were there. Lol. Super cool huh. Totally without any plans etc. Oh and I realised that the cosmetics dept in korean dept stores are always full of people, in contrast to Sg's where there are hardly any. And the metro is amazing! The younger people (below 50 as I saw) will never take the specially allocated 12 seats (3 on each side, each end). The older people are really keeping up with the times, with big fur coats, high heels and nice phones! Make up and all! Seriously!
We checked into an ondol hotel around namsan one day. The location is really great! :D And the service staff was not bad! Really good for a not-very-nice hotel! :D oh i think almost all accomodation provides wifi or free internet connection, as long as you have a laptop etc. Cool huh! Oh and while we stayed there, we visited 2 ski resorts, YongPyong and another. Lovely places. And I love skiing. The nice instructor who helped me along even though I didn't sign up for classes. (: The hotel was also near myeongdong and nandaemun! Woah. Shop shop shop. Kekekeke.... And we boarded a city tour bus! Visited the touristy sites! And we got to know a really cool englishman! Took leave to travel around the world. For 9 months.
We moved again, to an apartment at dongdaemun stadium stn. It is quite a bit of walk to get there, considering the station itself to be huge. And then there was a really nice food stall. The ajumma (auntie) was really nice! Okay someday I'll post a pic of her! :D Anyways I think I practically combed seoul while I was there. Lol from Insadong to Nohyeon to Dongdaemun to many many places! Seoul station! :D Where I bought nice addidas stuff with J. We went there twice? Once on xmas morning when it was raining and then one another day where it was snowing heavily. :D
Snow! Love snow. Love winter. Lols. The terribly cold weather may not be nice to some, but I love it! Snowed for the first time while I was on the city tour bus and we stopped at a hanok village! (: Lovely. Then xmas night at Nohyeon all the way back! :D And then again on Insadong while we were inside the pretty teahouse! :D
Okay I won't make this post any much longer. In conclusion. LOVE KOREA. Lols.
I'm an ultimate k-pop fan! I admit. Lols. But then k-pop is linked to chinese music. Which makes me cheena? Huh.... Omg seriously. Okay that diminished abit of my love, but there is plenty from where it came from! SJ in town on the 6th, WG on the 18th, U-kiss from 20 to 21, then beast from 23 to 25! Love Love Love!
Work ends in 4 weeks time! Can't wait. Seriously. But then uni stuff will be depriving me of holiday. I still regret signing that friggin contract that killed me for 6 months. Pre-uni is supposedly full of holidays, slacking, while I'm still here.
